Simply Beautiful...
Always been one of my favorite "fluorescent colors" ... Green!

These are nice classic GE F40 T12 Green's (but even modern non-GE greens are the same awesome color)
Green lamps are always good & bright too :)

Interesting 3-lamp fixtures too! I'm guessing these are those 1990s pre-EcoLux versions? When exactly did they go to EcoLux anyway?
xmaslightguy   [Jan 22, 2013 at 03:35 AM]
Lamps are pre-EcoLux (I believe GE discontinued colored lamps long before EcoLux came out) .. don't know the age as I have no idea how to decode the "dots" on GE's

Its actually a single fixture (originally was 4-lamp...but got alittle mod Smile I have an 'off' pic of it that I can post if you want)

Is it that 4-lamp troffer you had lit with the random lamps?
Wish colored florescents were more common!
xmaslightguy   [Jan 22, 2013 at 03:48 AM]
Nope its a different fixture (this one's not a troffer)

Same here on colored lamps - with they were more common & cheaper too Smile
(I'd especially like to get a couple of those 'Industrial' brand F40T12/Orange)

Those would be interesting for sure...would they look like an orange CFL?
xmaslightguy   [Jan 23, 2013 at 04:09 AM]
Looks like a 'F40T12/Red'
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Jan 24, 2013 at 12:04 AM]
What's the difference then?
xmaslightguy   [Jan 24, 2013 at 02:07 AM]
I meant looks the same as a red...except its orange LOL (so its still orange in color even when off - same way a 'red' is still red )
(I've only seen pic's of them 'off')

This site has an image of the etch on one:

So is the purpose of the orange just cosmetic when off if when lit it looks like a red?
xmaslightguy   [Jan 24, 2013 at 04:06 AM]
I think its like reds & yellows - where the 'off' color is basically a filter so that it'll actually light a nice true orange color.
If I ever get one I'll deff be posting pic's Smile

Okay I see...I was talking about the "lit" color...
