#8 Underground Streetlight Wiring
This is the old wiring being pulled from the conduit along Michigan Avenue in the City of Buffalo. Some of this wiring, alot of it in fact, dates all the way back to the old Series Incandescent circuits from the 1920s and the insulation in those cases, contain lead.

The way these old wires were wired in multiple circuits, the insulated wire obviously serving as the hot lead, the bare was the neutral/ground lead.
