RIDOT Cooper OVF
|
This was another early transition to what I call RIDOT's "new standard", which is FCO HPS lights on davits and relays. This was done in the 90's according to my mom. They're Cooper OVF, presumably 400W since the M-400 FCO replacements are 400W. These don't have NEMA tags. This was done using median-mounted poles which RIDOT doesn't use anymore in favor of mounting the lights on the side of the road. Another thing not seen here is that they used short poles for the ramps, but the davits are the same length as the ones on the freeway, just with one head instead of two.
