Here is my American Electric Model 113. This cobrahead was recently given to me by LCEC. I got to look through their dumpster where they throw the used streetlights in and take any two that I wanted.
You are lucky they just give you streetlights. Xcel energy won't give me any, they don't give any to the general public, which is sad. I still have a hookup from a contractor but I dunno when I will be able to get some.
I'm not sure if NGrid would let anyone pick from their dumpster but maybe if I were to come across a lineman changing out an oldie I could get it since that's usually anyone's best shot at getting lights from the electric co.
