We get calls for a bad signal on our 3M heads by those who are off axis. Like being in the thru lane and claiming the left turn is out. When we check it out, we find then OK.

Ahh yes. The "achilles heel" of the programmable signal! Wink It looks like its out...when its really not. If its a big issue a sign could be installed saying the signal is aimed for left turns only. Checking eats up alot of time. Whats different between 3Ms model and the new Intelights is the 3M even when masked really well, you can still pick up a slight faint glow. The Intelight appears completely blank unable to tell anything. Thats because of the 3M's optical system versus Intelights electronic programming. although to a quick eye by the driver the 3M's faint display is easily looked over
