Nice! So these were what you were telling me about. Are the made in the USA or Mexico? I bet the maroon looks cool on a street light. Could you post a pic of this installed on which ever light is currently mounted on your light display?

Since it's 240V you could leave it in the light and it would serve as a shorting cap. You won't hurt a 240V PC by running it on 120V, it just won't function. On the flip side though, if you run a PC on a higher voltage than it's rated for, it will fry (so will probably still function as a shorting cap lol, but it won't work on the proper voltage once it frys).

Yeah these are the ones I told you about. They are assembled in Mexico. I kinda like how a maroon photocontrol looks mounted on a streetlight. It's just very rare that I ever see lights with maroon photocontrols on them. So it does look a bit odd to me. But I have been wanting a maroon DTL for a long time now. I'll post a pic of it on my streetlight display probably this weekend. I still have the M250R2 on the display. I actually just put that blue Touch And Glow PC on it lol. I just took that blue Touch And Glow PC out of the package when I took the pictures of it tonight. I gave the teal DTL that you gave me a break and put the blue Touch And Glow on the M250R2. I like how it looks

Yeah I have a Touch and Glow PC on my OVC outside and it looks great. It comes on at a nice time too. I normally like sensitive PCs since they save money and put less hours on the lamp per night but for my backyard i like it to come on shortly after the sun ducks down behind the trees (same goes for any place where people are). When there's people around (parties, etc) I like having the lights come on earlier because then there's not this huge transition when the light suddenly comes on (when the light comes on earlier it appears more natural and doesn't change the brightness level as much).

Yeah the Touch And Glows are nice PC's for something that's sold at a home improvement store. At least they actually look like a real PC because they have a window. I would think they would last a while because the window slides in instead of being glued in like the old Fisher Pierces. So you wouldn't have the problem of the glue drying out and the window falling off. And the instant relay photocontrols always lasted a long time. The part that would probably fail first is the eye. But you could put a new eye in it and keep it going.

yeah the eyes on the older ones aren't even soldered on, they have little clip things. I prefer the look of the older ones. They look more vintage with the larger eye. My Lowe's still has a good number of the older ones. If they weren't so darn expensive I'd buy a handful of them lol.

Well you could order like 50 of them from Touch And Glow. If you buy in bulk they drop the price down to like $6.00 each. Or, at least, that's what I was told last time I called them and asked how much they cost.

ahh that explains why Lowes has them cheaper... but i couldn't afford 50 at once though even if they were only 6 bucks each. Maybe 6 PCs if they're 6 bucks each...

Oh I couldn't either. I'd have to save up for them.
