NICE! who did you order these from?
gramirez2012   [Oct 24, 2012 at 10:24 PM]
Graybar

A non catalog order? because I din't see any of what you have on there. I like how you got glass for the pkg 11. and that bracket looks a littl different from the older ones. Sweet.

Yeah when I order lights through Graybar, I email my rep the AEL product number and he comes back with a quote, then I have him place the order with my credit card. So I can customize the lights however I want, as long as it follows AEL's ordering logic. I chose the glass refractor cause I've never seen a NEMA with one and I thought it would be cool to have.

Yea I usualy custom order through Granger the same way.

Is the glass refractor a lot more expensive than the acrylic or polycarbonate? It bugs me how AEL uses "03", "05", and "07" in stead of "3", "5", and "7" LOL. Since the lamps AELs are supplied with are Philips, it really makes me think AEL ballasts are made by Advance (Philips). Plus, the designs are virtually identical besides the fact that AEL ballasts are more OEM looking.

I would imagine the glass is more expensive than acrylic or polycarbonate, but I'm not sure how much more. And yes, AEL uses Advance ballasts.

How much did the glass refractor cost?
streetlight98   [Jun 27, 2017 at 04:52 PM]
It came with the light so he wouldn't know the price of just the glass optics. He said in the comment right above yours that he was unsure how much more the glass cost compared to acrylic or polycarbonate.
