This doesn't look like a fluorescent lamp. Razz And that's not a mercury vapor lamp. It looks like a MH lamp with a bad capacitor. a MV arc tube is longer. Wink It looks like a Widelite brand floodlight.

I think it's a /C lamp. The reason the arctube looks short is because it's very blackened at the ends. This fixture has been dayburning for at least two years. The color of the lamp in this picture appears the same to the naked eye.

ahh. Okay. This may just have a regular coating of paint, not phoshphors.

Yep this is the Wide-Lite F-series flood, they are still made to this date.

Michael.....do you know the difference between a /C, a /DX, a /W, a /X, and a /Y???

This lamp has a worn out /C phosphor.....a worn out /C gives out a yellowish color with a bit of green....in it....I donno why in this pic it appears greener than when Brian sent me this pic in text message...it was more yellow from my text message....

I've actually never come across a /C lamp here, only mercs I've seen are /DX, /N and clear.

I have some /C and /Ws in my collection.....how I wish I had an /X which is super rare!

That's the purple stained predecessor to the /DX lamp right?

Imagine seeing some NOS cases of /X and /Y lamps. Shocked Shocked
GullWhiz   [Oct 05, 2011 at 01:37 PM]
The /X is basically a /C phosphor behind purple glass.......

What does /C look like??? Get a Sprite soda bottle (the green one) and look at a lit /DX through it!
