American Lighting T2 UnderCabinet Fixtures A selection of American Lighting T2 fluorescent fixtures...24w, 18w, ,8w, 6w Only one I'm missing is the 13w (store didn't have any) All found at a ReStore, and all new in box. I love the startup on these! The 'light' starts at one end, goes across, then when it makes contact, sorta rapid-starts...
I also like the nice thin size of a T2.

Are these electronic or magnetic? I didn't know they made linear tubes thinner than T5s.

I'm assuming electronic both because they're new/modern fixtures, and because people on LG have said they are most likely electronic.
I haven't taken one apart...yet Laughing

You can usually tell by the weight. If the fixture is much heavier on one side then it's more likely to be magnetic. Being such small tubes, I'd guess these are electronic too, as I think magnetics were only made for the 4-6-8-13W T5s, T8s, T12s, and T17s. Just that the start-up is interesting for an electronic ballast.

The fixture has some weight since its made with 'real' metal, not that paper-thin stuff...overall it seems to be well constructed.

I took one apart tonight... The ballast is electronic, and I was surprised when I saw at, because the cheap plastic-wrapped circuit-board-thing just doesn't fit in with the rest of the fixture..

I've never seen a light with the cool startup these have though Cool

I found one of the size I'm missing (13w) today at a ReStore, so now I have the full collection .. & they had a extra 17% off sale too Smile

Neat fixtures! Are these any thinner than the typical T5 model? Sounds like an interesting startup that these have too!

@rapidstart_12: They're pretty similar to an electronic-ballasted T5 model / a bit thinner than a magnetic ballasted T5. And yep, really interesting startup. I had planned to do a startup vid on YouTube, but never got around to it.
