StreetLight #031 - MV Parking Lot Lights
Mercury Vapor parking lot lights :) .. note the 2 different lamps, 1-clear, 1-coated.
All the lights in this lot were dayburning, so they must be on a central controller.

Yeah, most parking lot lights are on a timer because in many cases it's not necessary to keep the lights on all night long. ultimatly it ends up being cheaper and easier to use a timer.

This one has a 24-hour grocery store so they have to run 'em all night LOL

I guess their timer must've died or something...and they don't care/notice about the extra cost of running the lights continuously Shocked

I don't think they care. If it's a big chain store, They make enough money in profits to light the block

I've seen many stores with PCs controlling the outdoor lighting, most here that do have time clocks leave the lights on all night anyway, I also see many where they set the lights at the darkest point in December and then never change the settings so you have lights coming on a 4:30 PM in July when they aren't needed for another five hours Rolling Eyes One simply reason I would get it fixed if I owned the store is the it doesn't look good when you are wasting electricity to light the parking lot during the day, that could discourage some people from shopping at your store.
