Lights of America Q-Lite 13w modular CFL
These have been pretty reliable CFLs over the years and the electronic adapters lasted through at least one or two lamp changes, even though I used them in fully enclosed fixtures. They are also compact enough to fit in most fixtures. I always preferred the replaceable lamp concept and the linear tubes vs. spirals so I really like these. They also are true programmed start vs. the PTC type that instant-start when hot, have high power factor (95%) and seem to be as bright as a magnetic 13w PL-C lamp+adapter. The lamp tube shown here appears to be Sylvania made, but the ones I have left appear to be GE's.

So the Quad-Lites used a standard lamp? I thought it was of a much more proprietary style?

I agree with you though about the replaceable-lamp concept, the spiral CFLs are just such a wasteful, throwaway product IMHO.

It is a proprietary style. It has been re-based to fit the Lights of America fixtures and adapters only (there is no plastic center guide pin like other 4-pin quads). The tube itself is probably just a standard PL13 twin tube.
