DD-102 "Dual dome"
This was a prototype anti cycling photo control. The small wire is actually a fiber optic that you run down into the fixture and attach through a hloe that has to be drilled into the reflector and that's how it would detect a cycling lamp. I'm guessing it never made it too far.

Sounds like a PITA but cool concept nonetheless.

No kidding, I was reading the instruction sheet that came with it and just said. Ummmmmm nope Laughing I do want to hook it up one day to see how it works though. Just w/o drilling any holes of course.
