Whoa!..check out that Grand Federal Signal Thunderbolt!....looks like a 1000 or 1000T Model...im guessing since its abandoned,its not active...its a 1000 if its Single Tone,1000T if its Dual Tone...that could only be determined by hearing the siren since there's no diffrence visable externally.

Utility Hobby Yahoo Group is a GREAT place to post and talk about those kinds of things!!! I think a few was even posted...not sure....but that page is for a lot more general things that MOST of you members are actually interested INCLUDING old computers!

Did I mention I am also an owner of that site?

Dallas,Texas has alot of these old Federal Signal Thunderbolt sirens.

Civil Defense Warning Sirens are also a hobby of mine. Razz

The siren head assembly was removed and I was unable to find it, probably trashed with a lot of other stuff.

Update: The pole and blower are gone as the lot was sold.
