Holophane Wallpackette Mounted
Here's the Holophane wallpackette I recently found wired up and mounted. I also replaced the 100w = LED in the other pic with a 60w = clear LED filament to better emulate incandescent. Looks quite good.

I found one on eBay for quite a bit lol. I'd say mine is in better condition since the glass is fully intact.

Wow what a nice wall pack! Looks great with a filament lamp. I'd like to get one of the Holophane wall lights with the jar-like glass. They had two sizes, a A21 size and I think the other was either A23 or PS25 or something.

Thanks, yeah the LED filament lamps are great for refitting vintage incandescent fixtures and traffic lights for that matter. I found some that even emulated the fade out of a 69w signal incandescent.

I would love to find one of those Holophane wall lights too. I know of a few buildings that still have them. Yeah the smaller one was for 150w lamps and the bigger one was for 200w lamps.

Yeah the dimmable filament LEDs (and dimmable LEDs in general) have a nice fade-out, I think from the capacitors discharging.

When LED filaments first came out, I got some non dimmable ones from Amazon since that was the only place that had them. Unfortunately they were fairly cheesy and had a noticeable 60Hz flicker so I didn't want to use them for general lighting. I ended up using them in one of less often switched on traffic signals.

Fortunately since then, I can buy LED filament lamps at all of the major hardware stores, and for quite cheaply too. I've had a good experience with the Feit ones.

I'll have to say, 60w = LED screw in bulbs have come a long way since the first one I got which was one of those Philips ones with the yellow coloured diffuser.
