Well, I temporarily fixed it by gluing the crack together and painting over the crack but I'll still have to get a new one soon. :/

Jace told me that happened to the bucket of the NEMA he'll be sending me sometime in the near future but he fixed it with gorilla glue I'm guessing.

Interesting, I hope my glue fix holds up under the heat for long enough so that I can get a new lens.

Try heating up the plastic and then glueing it. If the plastic is heated enough maybe the glue will bond the two parts together. Hope you have luck finding a new lens. Aren't the canadian ones harder to come by?

Yeah they are, so far I've only seen the WALK/DONT WALK and the US hand/man lenses on eBay.

There are three types of Canadian lenses too, there's the round type, the square bubble type and the flat square type. Mine uses the square bubble type but the flat ones will work in a pinch too.

Hmm. Do you have a pic of the bubble square lenses? Is it like the square american ones with the exception that they stick out a bit like traffic signal lenses?

Here's a shot, and yeah it's just like a square American one that sticks out. We have the flat square type too but they're quite rare to come by...so far they were only used in old Eagle heads.

Ahh. They look just like the round ones from a quick glance. You could probably use an american set if you really can't find a canadian one. I'd try to get a canadian set though since this is a canadian signal though.

Yeah, if I get a US one I'll have to get a set for it to match. Razz I wonder if Fortran still makes these bubble lenses, they bought CGEs signal division in the 90s? but I don't think they make the aluminium signals anymore. Even incandescent poly signals are being a thing of the past here.

Oh and it turns out there's a couple more types of Canadian lenses I forgot to mention, there's a WALK/DONT TYPE square bubble type and a 16" clamshell type with the Canadian symbols. Both are very rare and I haven't seen them in person anywhere in Ontario.

Here's a WALK/DONT WALK square bubble lens...I thought they didn't exist at first but apparently they were used in Regina:

Here's a 16" clamshell type lens with the Canadian symbols, notice how the symbols are actually squashed to fit. Not sure where this was used too, as far as I know only parts of Quebec and Western Canada have 16" clamshell peds but they're all LED now.

Update: years after it broke I finally happened upon a set of CGE lenses on eBay in really good condition so I ended up replacing the lenses.
