Very nice find Darren! Mine is also from 1989 but the box for mine is a bit worn. Can you get a shot
of the ballast? I wonder if it looks the same as mine.

Wow. Never in my life had I seen a SOX fixture for retail sale or for sure I would have bought one. Love the owl on the packaging.

Thanks Joe,sure no problem, I will post a pic of the ballast shortly.
Hey Alain, the 1st generation Philips Goldfinger 55W LPS fixture was also available for retail sale here. You may have had second thoughts of buying a Goldeye as the original retail price back then for this one was $113.99 ,and other places had them for about $130.00 Shocked

I think you're right...I would have passed (out?)
I did pay over $100 for my 18w LPS wall pack some years back, but it was worth it as they are so hard to find. I would love one of those Goldfinger fixtures - much more than the Goldeye.

Shocked Oh wow, I guess that's why they were never really popular here. I scored mine for a very good price at a flea market last year.

I wonder how much did the Goldfinger go for, I've yet to see one for sale here much less, even ones in use are rare.

The Goldfingers were $159 to $169 in the mid to late 80's Shocked
