This one looks similar to mine, except the ignitor. Mine is the more traditional Cube-Style ignitor.

OVX's are so roomy inside, Especially how deep the reflector is. But still the reflector is not big enough to vent out the heat from a 250 watt HPS or above lamp.

What kind of ignitor is in here anyway??

Well, in this pic there is no ignitor in there- it's just the plug in receptacle.

Hey you are probably right... That doesn't look like an ignitor. The Cube ignitor probably plugs in that thing, now that you mention it.

Why would this be missing the ignitor?

Most likely it fell out. It doesn't look like the receptacle holds it very tightly. There really should be a standard ignitor receptacle and ignitor characteristics set by NEMA. Currently, every manufacturer (or just about) has a different style/type ignitor.

I wonder why the door fell off in the first place. The OVX has the new hinge design. I guess the vibrations overtook it and the door WITH the ignitor finally fell off.

I wonder what happens when a door falls off.. If there is someone under it and they get hit wooooah.
