There are a lot of gumballs in Southern Prince George's county.....and some in Frederick. But you are right, this one is one of the only few gumballs in the area you work in! Wink

This one dates to about 1940s...I have seen some old old pictures with a LOT of those in service all over MD...I can show you when you can talk to me...(hopefully you can get AIM...it will be a lot easier for me to show you pictures.)

Well I guess there would be no need to replace this since theres no ballast to die.

Won't water get in the holes in the reflector? Neutral
GullWhiz   [Nov 12, 2011 at 03:18 PM]
Those holes were for the side shields...but seems it broke off....mine here the EXACT same setup to be exact still has the side shield.....

Well I am not too worried because I actually VISITED this EXACT light myself and didn't see any water inside.....It has a bit of bullet holes on the glass too so it may be helping by dripping out water!!! Nice old specimen...used to be ALL over my area.....but they got phased out around the 70s....You can see one that was still in service in 1977 in one of my pictures found right here, can you spot that fixture in distance???
