My new portable LED emergency lighting I bought from Erco
The former one, had its SLA battery EOL, and it fell of the ground and became broken. Also, the seller at Erco said that they don't replacing batteries in emergency lighting.
This one have a Li-ion battery though NiMH battery would be much better.

Nice. Always handy to have a battery powered light around.

It can be used as a battery powered light, since it have a Li-ion battery and Li-ion batteries aren't the optimal batteries for an emergency light, since they shouldn't be overcharged. But I uses it as an emergency lighting which switches on automatically when the power goes out.
For emergency lighting, NiMH is the best battery, since they aren't being damaged when overcharged, and can't explode or catch fire like Li-ion batteries, and are still lighter than SLA batteries.

If the charging circuit is properly designed it shouldn't overcharge the batteries (and should also have protection to prevent battery overheating/fire - again if correctly designed.)

I have some emergency lights, but they're fluorescent & have NiCd batteries (obviously too large to be portable)

My former portable emergency lantern had a SLA battery. Most emergency lanterns we have in Israel, are all generic Chinese ones like this.
