Model 25 Refurb Install on Hwy 401
Noticed this Model 25 installed sometime in the last 2 years at an interchange in Bowmanville on the 401. Before 2017 an OVF was in its place. No other Model 25's in or around this area prior to this installation as well.

Interesting, I'm guessing it might have been from a pole that got LEDized too. Cool to see it reused though.

That is highly impressive they used a model 25 Shocked They seem to spot replace cobras mainly with used fixtures on the freeways for whatever reason

I wonder if it's because a lot of contractors stopped stocking new HID cobraheads so they opt to put up used/rebuilt fixtures instead for places that still use HID.

I wonder if they go through each and every fixture and sort them good and bad. Im surprised a Model 25 made the cut due to age

I doubt the contractor knows how old the fixture is. Really cool to see one of these installed recently though! Would be cool if NGrid started using rebuilt fixtures here. As of now they're still slapping up new M-250R2s for 50 and 100w HPS and 115s for 250W HPS. AEL flood lights are used for 250 and 400W.
