That pretty much sums it up Mike Laughing
I think the gulls may have pulled it off somehow

lol. i wonder if this will be replaced. I assume so. When it rains that ballast might go out with some smoke coming out of the PC receptacle hole lol.

Fortunately with some fixtures, the PC hole isn't over the ballast. I think the Power doors won't do that well though. Especially the ones without holes on the ballast door.

even if the ballast isn't mounted right under the PC socket if water gets in the hole it's going to fry. All of my lights except the OVC have the ballast close enough to the PC socket so that if the hole was left open rain would get to the ballast. With the OVC it could probably still get to it. I think with the OVC the water would just drip down the reflector and probably get on the socket or work it's way into the optical area and collect in the refractor.

Yeah,I guess the increased humidity from all the water in there also will wreck the ballast too.

Saw it lit this morning, That is actually a shorting cap, as it is a Caltrans FWY light, 240V group controlled.

Pretty soon a leotek toylet seat will grace this arm.

Got replaced with a LED, not that it failed, but a whole row was changed out. Now has a Leotek Ecobra.

Oh wow so the model 25 was still going strong? lucky light i guess lol. I know of a M-250R2 on RI Rte 4 like this. It's on an off ramp near I-95.

The pole and fixtures are gone due to widening of the freeway. The replacement is a solarmax LED
