I have 2 HO fixtures now. Very Happy

Nice! Yeah I like the HO bulbs more than the single pin slimline lamps. The HO lamps flicker a little bit when coming on whereas the slimline lamps are instant start. I like the bi-pin lamps the best though.

Yeah HO lamps are rapid start lamps so when you flick the switch they tend to flash a bit when they first come on but single pin lamps are instant start so they come right on with no flicker (unless the bulb is ready to die, though sometimes as the ballast ages the lamps will blink a little when they come on)

yours have electronic ballasts though. only magnetic ballasts will do the flicker affect.
