Back of Besam Automatic Door Systems Decal
This side is in perfect condition, as it's the adhesive side. The paper backing to cover the adhesive said "besam AUTOMATIC DOOR SYSTEMS PART #75-20-100 OUT DECAL" Anyone else here like automatic door decals? This one is my favorite as I saw them everywhere here, though now these only exist at older Target stores becuase when the Wal-Marts here remodeled, they used stanley doors with Stanley decals. The newer Targets here use their own decals and the same with K-Mart, Stop & shop, and other big stores. most places here now use Stanley doors so these are virtually gone now. same goes for the "ghost shaped" Horton Automatics decals that were never common here.

Lol, yeah I dig these things and automatic doors too, I want automatic doors in my house- Stamley or Gildor maybe Dorma. Actually there are some Stanley ones on ebay that I want. I also like the yellow 'automatic-caution-door- decals, it just looks funny the way they have it worded.... I want those too. Really, this was in some lady's garage?

Yep. The arrow side has some wear on it though this was never used. I stuck it on one of those clear overhead projector sheets and cut it square to fit this. BTW, I found out SEARS sells these things online. Odd eh? Click here.

That's funny that Sears would sell the Besam ones, do they also sell Besam door operators too? I might get some. On ebay you can get the Stanley caution ones for about $5.

Do you have a link? I noticed the newer version of this has the besam logo on the top of the "do not enter" side. Mad I hate it when the logo is on the decal. That's why I don't like stanley decals that much. Horton automatics puts there name on it, but it's small and at the very bottom so it doesn't bug me. This style and the GYRO-TECH/NABCO Entrances IN/DO NOT ENTER and OUT/DO NOT ENTER decals that can be found here

I actually haven't really looked at those automatic door decals closely lol. I remember when I was a kid some older stores still used those pressure sensitive mats to open the door instead of the sensor.
streetlight98   [Apr 20, 2012 at 10:19 PM]
Never seen the pressure sensitive mats here, though i've seen some pretty old looking doors and equippment still in use. The most common doors and decals I see now are the Stanley ones.

I actually like the decals with the logos, they are kind of cool, but I also like the ones with no logo. The generic decals can be ordered online from any number of automatic door parts places.

The Stanley decals on ebay can be found HERE

It's funny, the generic caution decals, because of how they are laid out, if your read them top to bottom would read 'AUTOMATIC-CAUTION-DOOR' but the Stanley one reads 'AUTOMATIC-DOOR-CAUTION'

This is the generic one....see what I mean?

streetlight98   [Apr 21, 2012 at 12:23 AM]
ehh. The stanley one isn't really something I'd be interested in. As for the generic one, I believe when there is a box like that in the middle, you read that first (or at least that's what makes the most sense to me) so it says "Caution: Automatic Door". The stanley decals I see here look like this, which I don't really mind too much. The other style I've seen here is this style. BTW, the IN decal in the second pic is a GYRO Tech decal.
Tmcdllr   [Apr 21, 2012 at 03:18 AM]
Yeah I know it reads that way it just looks funny.
streetlight98   [Apr 21, 2012 at 03:00 PM]
I wonder when the common circular decals came out. I've seen really old doors that just have "IN" or "OUT" in black letters on a square white tag.

I'm guessing during the 90s. Razz
Tmcdllr   [Apr 21, 2012 at 10:51 PM]
I started seeing them late 70s early 80s.

Took this pic of a recent new install of Besam Unislide telescoping doors, the door started to move when I took it but you can see the Besam/Assa Abloy logo on it...
