Boxes of my 3 LEDs for my room. The LEDs are actually providing the light for this picture. Ok, your wondering why there's CFLs in the LED boxes lol. Well, these are the replaced CFLs and I cannot believe how better the light quality is with these LEDs over the CFLs. They come on instantly, don't get hot. When you shut them off, it slowly fades out in a time of about 4 seconds. A really cool effect. I think it's because they're dimmable.

So don't I. The CFLs in my room made my room look drab and the light was foggy. LED light has great quality and accents everything with its clean, crisp light.

I have those LED (not the spirals) in my fan, those are also DIMMABLE! They have been in use for about 2 months or so...still doing GREAT!

Well, the spirals was what used to be in my fan. Before that was 40 and 60w inacdescents. Now it's three 7.5 w LED lamps that are doing GREAT. My parents wish they were cheaper because they like the light quality so much more than the CFLs.

I think the glow after turning off is from the capacitors discharging. Lowes now sell them in 5000K, but at $25, more than the warm white version which sells for $16-17 currently.

Almost eight years later the Utilitech LEDs are still working!

How's the light quality compared to lamps today? I used to have a Sylvania (?) LED bulb from 2010 or so. It died a while back, but I remember the light quality wasn't anywhere near as good as a new LED bulb at the time. (early 2015).

They're a lot whiter than today's LEDs and very directional but as far as the quality of the light itself (CRI) I can't tell a difference. They're on the dim side but they're only rated as 40W replacements.
