NOS M-1000 Glass X2
Took a trip to Liverpool, NY today and went to the National Grid Investment Recovery Center (or as I like to call it, the "candy store"), and was expecting two used refractors taken out of old fixtures, but much to my amazement, I was presented with these two boxes and when I opened the top one, I was pleasantly surprised that not only were these exactly the style I was looking for, but New Old Stock to boot. So I installed one right away and the other, in the unopened box, is a spare glass.

I try to make it a point to keep at least one spare glass for each fixture type.

Yeah NGrid's stuff is mostly NOS except for a select few items. I'd try to get the FCO 100W MV M-250R2 from there but I'm saving the new space i have for vintage lights.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did they want for each glass? I'm trying to figure how much they'd want for a cobrahead. It's a 5 hour trip one-way for me, so unless they'd sell the lights for less than $20 a piece it's not worth it. I wonder if I could get stuff from the RI or MA divisions of NGrid. They don't have a resource recovery program in RI or MA but I wonder if I bring up the NY one if they'd allow me to pick through some stuff. Almost definitely a "no" but I suppose a phone call couldn't hurt.

They were $30 a pop. Plus it was two hours away for me since I'm in Buffalo.

Ah so if the glass is $30 a piece the lights are probably like $50 each. Probably not worth the five hour trip unfortunately. I would have liked to get some low wattage 100 and 175W MV fixtures.
