Delta to WYE is more common right?

Yep. This avoids having to run a neutral for the primary but you have one on the secondary. But sometimes you don't even need a neutral at all! I suppose those lights run on 240V, so you don't need a neutral. Plus connecting the secondaries in wye would give 240/415V xD

This pole and transformers are scheduled for replacement. I hope to be there when it occurs to get some brown insulators. >> Update, 2-6-13 They replaced the pole and transformers. These shown are Moloney, the new ones are Howard. I got the insulators and fuse holders, but not the oil filled glass fuses as they are filled with PCBs and there was a liability issue if one broke.
