McGraw Edison Unistyle 1000s
Here's a cluster of what I think are 5 McGraw Edison Unistyle 1000s along with 5 gulls on the pole. These use HPS lamps but they might have been originally MV.

EDIT: Thanks to Darren for confirming that they are Unistyle 1000s.

What is also unusual is there's an odd number of fixtures more than 3.....I rarely see 5, 7, 9 fixtures on ONE pole.....only 1, 2, 3, 4....and sometimes 6....in LA airport there are poles with 8 cobraheads on long arms!
gailgrove   [Aug 13, 2010 at 07:07 PM]
There was a set up like that here with 8 fixtures, I say was because they replaced them with led Surprised

I saw one in New Kensington PA but it's not there anymore, it was replaced with a 400 watt high pressure sodium streetlight.

Thanks everyone, I've also seen a lot of setups of a odd number of fixtures more than 3 too. I don't see a lot of setups with more than 4 fixtures per pole aside from highmasts.

i Love to see cobraheads lighting parking lots...its not a very common thing anymore....alabama actually had alot of cobraheads in parking lots, new ones at that....on wooden poles in the Center of the Lot. Laughing

i Rarely see More than 2 Lights to a Pole....sometimes 4 but never seen anything higher.

@ Niall Oh yeah sorry I forgot to to tell you where these are. It's located near Yonge St. and Oxford St. in Richmond Hill. Link to Streetview

@Devonte I've seen a parking lot that was lit exclusively with MV powerbracket type fixtures before. Sadly they were all removed around 10 years ago.

OK thanks, make sure you keep your eyes on them, If they ever come down we need to get them Very Happy
joe_347V   [Aug 23, 2010 at 12:28 AM]
Yeah I'll try and keep my eyes on them, I'll be sure to tell you if anything happens to them Wink

I want to see the WHOLE SCENE of parking lot if you can make that!
LilCinnamon   [Oct 10, 2010 at 04:43 AM]
So do I! I would like to see the whole parking lot!

I'll see if I can get you guys a scene pic but for now you can open my Streetview link in my above comment to get a idea of how the lot looks.
GullWhiz   [Oct 11, 2010 at 03:17 PM]

THat's a lotta light. Shocked 5KW!
gailgrove   [Sep 30, 2011 at 05:26 PM]
It wouldn't surprise me if they are 400 watt HPS lamps, otherwise there'd of been no point converting to HPS.
streetlight98   [Sep 30, 2011 at 06:10 PM]
Yeah there would. more light. Very Happy That's the only reason why we swithced.
gailgrove   [Sep 30, 2011 at 06:11 PM]
I'm pretty sure there 400 watts somehow, the other B2255s in the lot are 400 watts.
streetlight98   [Sep 30, 2011 at 06:12 PM]
Most likely 400, yes. i don't see the need for 5,000 watts of HPS on one pole.

Update: this and it's sister pole had their fixtures replaced with LED lights. Not sure what the make is, they look a bit like eBay special lights. Rolling Eyes
