Sylvania Powerlite VF500
These odd looking post top lights were used occasionally to light strip mall and plaza parking lot entrances. Classic 1960s Powerlite design, the large diffuser also allowed them to be used as a sign. I've seen some at another plaza with the text ENTER and EXIT on the diffuser. I'm not entirely sure, but I think the pole with the Twistpak might be a newer replacement. I'm guessing it uses MV or MH. The rest of the lot is lit with B2213s with one newer pole holding two B2228s instead.

Hard to see but is the top missing on the fixture? These are really cool! Do you have streetview?

Yeah, Here's the Streetview. Unfortunately I think the 4th one got knocked down and then got LEDized as there's a LED pole there now. The remaining two still light up at night.

I believe these still have a cap but not the wide brim one shown in the catalogue. A plaza in Mississauga had a pair of them, one at each entrance with the wide brim and the lettered diffuser.
