Birmingham is over 600 Miles from me...that was a long drive..10 hours...but shorter (7 Hours) since we were doing 90 MPH just about the whole way there.
The speed limit is 65 on Interstate 295 here, but you can easily go over 90 on the northern part. Most people go 75-85 on that interstate. On I-95, the speed limit is 50 in the northern part. There's usually traffic backup so you really can't go over 50. I-95 in Southern RI is virtually just miles of nothing. It's perfectly straight too. You could easily go 80-90 on the 65 MPH interstate, but there are cops everywhere on I-95. I-295 is more curved, but there are fewer cops so you can get away with speedign easier. anything over 80 MPH is a little crazy. The speed limit on a highway in Florida is 75 MPH. Forget exactly where thoguh. It's been a few years since i've been there...
The speed limit on I-95 in North Carolina is 70 MPH. Also be careful in Virginia, the state cops there will nail you for even going 10 miles per hour over the speed limit and their fines are very high.
The speed limit on the indian nation turnpike in oklahoma is 75 MPH which is the highest ive seen in oklahoma since their top speed limit on most ordinary highways is 65 MPH as opposed to 70 in Texas...there are some sections of I-20 in West texas that have 80 MPH speed limits...no excuse to go 90 MPH but we had a family member basically almost dead.
and go check on a Live Wire gull...i'll whack you with a stick...the same one pat used to whack a durastar.
