Damaged 100w MH
A 100w Metal Halide fixture...
Got it free (saved from being trashed), as you can see it was damaged in shipping.
There should be glass over the top opening (bottom image) it was completely shattered as was the lamp (arc tube somehow survived!) The metal reflector around the lamp was also totally bent up

---
I think this is actually salvageable I took it apart, there's a piece of metal designed to cover the (broken) top glass (I guess for if you don't want "up" lighting LOL) so that can just be used in place of it. After being flattened out (which wasn't a big deal to do)
I was also able to disassemble the reflector thingie...then take the parts & straighten them - not perfect but deff good-enough to work, then I reassembled it.
As far as I can tell the wires/ballast/etc all look undamaged...will eventually just need to get a lamp.

Wow nice find! I bet that's an expensive fixture!
I reacently got a 400W MH/MV fixture from a gas staion , it fell about 15 FT when a truck hit it
my high school has these same fixtures In HPS and they're bronze

What brand is it? also, the "normal light socket" is called medium base. Wink

@A_lights Thanks..
Looking at the box, these come in the 'platinum silver' (like this one), plus bronze and bare metal. And as 100w MH or 150w HPS

Was the 400w MH/MV fixture you got salvageable after its fall? - even for parts it'd still be a good score Cool

streetlight98:
I went back and added brand/model info to the "File information" after looking at the box this evening.. plus fixed the 'normal light socket' with 'Medium' Smile

Yeah , it was just a little bent on one side and the sylvanaia metalarc lamp was smashed but the arctube was intact , the cover was busted , I have a video on YouTube on my channel too , it's installed in my garage

Also for your fixture removing the ignitor will make it suitable with a 100W MV lamp! Cool

Cool .. I'll have to keep that in mind on the MV lamp Smile

And will have to check out your vid!
