3M traffic lights with 20 foot "Weird truss arm" being dwarfed by a 30 footer arm!
This was a bit of a long traffic light.....This one is actually an off ramp mixed in with intersection which was behind me on to the left....It's a bit weird setup but yet a simple set of ramps!

Google Map of this set up in another angle (and have a nice look around) here

Those long 30 foot arms were installed circa 1980-1983. The original fixtures of those poles are the T&B 25s but some got replaced while others still works....This traffic light setup is newer.

You can see a BGE upsweep on the far left lighting private property and some BGE truss arms on wooden poles in the next intersection with GE M-400A3 with sag lens.

We have some 30 feet arms here in California on the freeways. They are also seen in Oregon. I will try to get a pic.

Why are the lights 15 feet apart? It seems pretty pointless, the only arm I've seen this long (or longer) is this one, it must be about 40 feet long!

The longer one was there first....the traffic light was later added...and VERY often traffic systems gets light included....MORE LIGHT THE BETTER...TAKE THAT DARK SKY!
