Mini High-Bay Fixture Lit
This is a shot with the 90W incandescent to the right and the F40 turret in the background shut unpowered, only the 23W CFL in the highbay. I also tried a 150W incandescent since its light output it comparable to a 35W HPS.

It's really cool that a regular coated A19 lamp provides a pretty well-lit area and even light cast but a short-necked 40W clear fan lamp provides a tighter beam and a very defined circle of light (at about 7ft up, the circle of light was pretty much the length of the garage, maybe a little over 20 feet).

A shorter lamp creates a tighter beam while a longer lamp makes a broader beam because the filament is lower or higher in the reflector with a shorter or longer lamp.

Was this temporarily taking the place of the F40 preheat fixture that burned itself up?

It was only up for the pic, but yes, on one of the same hooks that held the burnt up fixture. Now the Harmony House fixture is here and it's wired up and working after i fused it. Before it was mounted cordless. I wanted to wait until it was fused. It's fused at 1A and the ballast is rated at 0.85A. The lamps are BRIGHT! Very Happy
