What is that hollow tower on the left supposed to do?
I've seen towers like this frequently, but I am not quite sure what they are supposed to do, As there one 115 kV circuit and the big lattice tower on the right is where the 115 kV circuit leads to and I'm not sure why they have all all that stuff on the tower instead of just putting the wire onto the circuit.

What is that tower supposed to do? For higher voltage lines they tend to do that, and I'm still not quite sure why. Any of you guys have any idea?

It's a three way switch tower, Each switch mounted can go three ways. Thats some crazy line work there.

What is that supposed to mean? I'm kind of confused.

You can open on side of the switch, Another side and a third side of the switch separately, or all three at once.

What is the switch used for?
Mercuryvapor123   [Aug 31, 2014 at 03:43 PM]
Isolating Wires, Substations and whatever else.
