A Hawk? (and a 115 and OVX)
Noticed this percher from my window, so zoomed in and got him! I've been seeing a lot of them perching like this lately, usually on the pole's top cap though. It's been too cold this winter to get out enough, so expect some gem pictures from me in the Spring. Will get a close up of a hawk on a pole too!

I seen a few hawks in my area before but ever so rarely Cool
There are bluejays that every year seem to nest in a tree beside a R47 and they just love sitting on the light all the time Razz

birds like sitting on lights here too. Sometimes they make a nest inside the light but since you guys have mostly all glass lenses you probably don't have that problem as much. Man that 115 is tilted way to far up lol.

I usually see hawks like this guarding the freeway, often on poles like this at on/off ramps. I know hawks are trained to perch at the airport to help deter nuisance birds. Wonder if these highway perchers are escapees still exhibiting their runway guard training.
