Nice! It's nice and bright and keeps the neighbors happy with the FCO optics too. I have a 70W PSMH deck light but we rarely use it since the thing is a glarebomb. It's basically a decorative wall-mount NEMA head with a square bucket lens lol.

Beautiful!

Nice light! Looks a lot less glary than the 100w MV yardlight I have. I don't run mine often though.

Thanks ! Yeah this is working out well, on the same circuit as the front lights so I ended up putting a timer on all 3 because 2 didn't have their own photocell and were dayburning

Hmm odd how the front and back lights didn't have separate switches. Do some of the rooms inside share switches to simplify the wiring inside of the mobile home?
A_lights   [Sep 27, 2014 at 02:30 PM]
Just this one had an odd setup with the switch controlling this and the 2 front lights, the other side light (LOA security+) has its own switch
Every room has its own switch and is wired the same as a regular house..although the ceiling junction boxes are a bit different from normal ones and so are the switches and plugs which are self contained(needs no JB) and they use spring tabs to hold them into the wall, the cover on the back comes off to reveal a stab- in connection, I can always convert them to a regular box setup too

Can you take a pic of these mobile home wiring devices perhaps? I'm curious...
A_lights   [Sep 28, 2014 at 03:55 PM]
Certainly, stay tuned, I'll probably upload them later
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Sep 28, 2014 at 05:11 PM]
Thanks...
I'm also noticing...this has a nice big deck it seems? That's got to be a plus I imagine...is this in a mobile home park or on a larger lot?
A_lights   [Sep 28, 2014 at 05:15 PM]
Yeah I like the deck! It's in a park but the spacing is pretty good
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Sep 28, 2014 at 05:33 PM]
So no six feet away is the neighbor's house situation? Is there a deck on the other side (If that's where the LOA door is located)
I've heard mobile homes are required to have more than one exterior door became there is an inherent fire hazard (Being made of particleboard they tend to go up quickly in the event of a fire)
But this looks like a pretty nice one...no 70s stuff here! Laughing
A_lights   [Sep 28, 2014 at 05:53 PM]
Yeah I'd say the neighbors house is 25 ft away, just this deck, the LOA is mounTed next to the other door which is not used, no step below it either lol
I have installed a 2nd smoke detector/monoxide detector near my room to be safe,1983 was when it was made
streetlight98   [Sep 28, 2014 at 07:00 PM]
Oh wow 25ft is luxury spacing in a mobile home park! I've seen mobile home parks here where there's enough room to walk between them- and that's it.
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Sep 29, 2014 at 02:15 AM]
Wow that's really tight then!
A_lights   [May 15, 2015 at 04:39 PM]
this lamps lost about 10% output since install
streetlight98   [May 16, 2015 at 01:30 AM]
Wow that thing is dimming fast! Common for 100W MVs. The 175W lamps seem to be most resistant to dimming.
A_lights   [May 16, 2015 at 01:44 AM]
Yeah, I plan to use it till its 50% output so maybe 4 more years and I'll change it with a GE Hungary /DX
