Hmm wow. I thought once the spirals come out, the self-ballasted PL lamps bit the dust. Apparently not! In this application the PL shaped lamp would be better since you'll throw more light sideways. Seeing that the fixture was designed for CFL/SBPL, you'd think they'd make both lamps base down but apparently fixture manufacturers don't do their homework anymore. Rolling Eyes
