These and the GE spirals I had always assumed were IS but in the cold sometimes as long as 5 seconds they stay stuck in preheat mode,  then the cathode heating shuts off,  a fraction of a second later the arc strikes up

Or maybe just have a really difficult time starting...is this 2700K or 6500K? Lemme guess...a vaportight fixture in a walk-in freezer?

6500K and yep walk in in freezer
