Just 2 median lights from the concrete pole that always gets hit is this knocked down pole that had 2 OVX's. 2 new OVX's on an aluminum pole will more and likely show up as a replacement.
Is there even a real need for that pole? I mean, there's a pole right there by the signal that's more than capable of lighting both sides of the road at at height.
For that little stretch of death alley, I could see the need for that light still lol. When they installed this intersection sometime around 2005 they probably treated it as a whole unlit intersection despite that they still had the shoebox's that weren't as capable to distribute light as far as the new higher aluminum poles and longer arms back in a whole upgrade in 2008.
WTF, Someone must have swerved to hit it, cuz this pole is not even on a curve in the road!
And when the signal lights were added, they never really considered existing median streetlights lol.
I find aluminum poles have an extra delay to get replaced. It's like they don't stock them.
UPDATE: Today I saw a subcontractor here installing a sparkling new replacement of the same set up (high aluminum pole, double arms, 2 400W OVX's). Funny, it's the second time I've seen a subcontractor, "Peel Powerline" replacing an aluminum streetlight pole on this stretch. Never seen them working anywhere, not even on powerlines" lol
