Nice tape job bud
I have seen a bunch of OVXs just taped up really lousy around here. One of the several around here where its wrapped with tape and the door is still hanging out. This area has had lots of problems since they removed the old shoeboxs back in 2008

What I don't get is why do they need to be taped to begin with? Are the latches faulty or something? I've never seen that here with the OVXs or OVZs. I've seen the occasional M-250R2 taped shut here.

Good question Mike. I know this stretch and I think some of the lights look slightly deformed since day one, like they were dropped in shipping.
But yeah, doors seem to pop open instantly after taping lol. This has been like this for what, 4+ months now? Permanant fix. Razz

Maybe they busted the hinge while installing the light. Rolling Eyes I guess one benefit of the LED changeout in my area is that there's no more taped lights. Laughing

A few years ago it was common to see taped up, 125s, OVXs and OV25s. Think even a Powerlite or two. I still remember the first time I saw this monstrosity fortunately, it got fixed and is still drop lens HPS too.

Yeah the glass refractors and tape don't pair well together.

I have seen taped up OVX's, OVZ's and one or two taped up R47's here before.

I've seen mostly M-250R2s taped up. At least a couple 113s and I think maybe an OVZ or two. With the plastic lenses it's OK since they're pretty light but the glass lenses weight quite a bit for electrical tape, which stretches under both the weight and the heat generated from the lamp. Just about anything else would be better to keep the doors shut. Duct tape, rope, or a couple of large heavy-duty zipties interlocked (to make one bug ziptie to fit around the light).

The two taped up OVX's here have been replaced. One with a new OVX, and the other a 115 Confused
Also, the second pole from Kennedy is no longer present. It has been knocked down twice before, so I guess this is another strike zone.
