Thanks, I corrected it. The description was for another pic, lol.

LED Autobahns are starting to take over here too by the looks of it

Ah LOL the description makes a lot more sense now lol. I was looking for drop lens lights here and didn't see any lol. I prefer AEL Autobahns over may of the other LED street lights out there but it's sad to see cobraheads disappearing.

BTW Dave, do you know why many of the 100W HPS lights down there (namely M-250R2s and 113s) have a "27" where the NEMA tag normally goes? I've seen it a few times and always thought it was very strange.

Oh yeah, lots of these weird tags in Florida, in Duke Energy's service area (originally Florida Power Corporation, then Progress Energy Florida). Seen numbers like 27, 33, 21, 24, 42. Normal tags show 10, 15, 20, 25, and 40. I know 24 and 42 are listed as dual wattages in the catalogs. Never seen the other wattages listed. Perhaps they are all dual wattage?

I don't know. With dual wattage fixtures, they just stick the extra NEMA tag inside the light, to be stuck on if the installer changes the wattage (factory setting's tag is pre-installed on the light). At least that's how GE and AEL do it. The 27 tags I've seen are definitely aftermarket. At first I thought they could be lumen equivalents but 100W HPS lumens don't begin with 27... Yeah the ordering codes for 250/400 is 24 (24 and 42 for AEL) but they will come with two NEMA tags, a 25 and a 40. GE always wires their fixtures for the lowest wattage (and voltage for dual-voltage lights) but they offer their lights wired at the higher wattage as an option. For AEL, either wattage is a standard offering. I noticed Cooper doesn't offer a 100/150W fixture, just 250/400W. The M-250A2 FCOs and I think some of the M-250R1s here were 100/175W MV. Joe Maurath Jr said that some of the lights that remained wired at the factory wattage (100W MV, and most of them did remain at 100W), often the 17 tag was still inside the light when it was removed, tucked behind the ballast. I wonder if it was usable after years of heat. Many of the M-250A2 FCOs were only around 10 years old or less when removed though. So sad that they had such a short life. There's still a good number of M-250A2 FCOs left in RI though, which is nice. They get replaced one by one as they either burn out, start dayburning, or are replaced for being dim. I used to report dim 100W mercs since NGrid would relamp them but they've stopped servicing all mercs now so I've stopped reporting mercs, even if they flat-out don't work.
