OLD pole tag from 30s showing the precedessor to California Electric Power Co!
This is the tag on the same pole that has the weird angled Calectric arm. Note the tag says S. S. P. Co on the top above the number? That means Southern Sierras Power Company, the name was changed to California Electric Power Co sometime around 1943 or so. Amazing how long things hang around but I know of a few power poles dating to the 1890s-1900s. Theres at least one power pole dating to 1907 in Santa Cruz CA likely when SC had Santa Cruz Electric Light Co, before being taken over by PG&E.

Cool! I've seen some poles with N. E. T. & T. Co. pole tags (New England Telephone & Telegraph Company) that looked just like the NECo tags. NGrid uses a taller tag that says N.G. on it and it's not as long.
