Westinghouse OV-12 in Fullerton CA
There's a string of 4 OV-12s here on this street. I notice they have SCE tags on them that say '7' which means 7000 lumen. That refers to a 175w mercury vapor lamp when such a light source is used. These tags indicate that Fullerton used to have a contract with SCE to maintain the city owned street lights. All the gumballs in the city have a '2' tag, for a 2500 lumen incandescent lamp, since converted to HPS. Fullerton still has a pretty good sprinkling of mercs all over the city, ranging from 100w to 400w, and both series and multiple.

Nice! Up in NH under the NHE Co-Op they have 175W MV GE Powr/Brackets with Astrodome PCs and they have "7"s on them too. I always thought the "7" was for "175W" but i guess it's for the lumen rating? At any rate, they were 175W. Pretty much the only mercs left up there are 175W 60s GE NEMA heads and Powr/Brackets with Astrodome PCs. Many of the 175W GE NEMA heads have their original tall white Ripley PCs and BT28 lamps. If the lamps are GEs then they'd be really rare!

If you're still in the Placentia/Fullerton area, check out a neighborhood west off of Placentia Ave; I think it is either Mystic or Clairmont Ave. It's lit with Mercs.
