Behold, The mighty Powerlite Gumball!
Well actually this thing is tiny, so small it is medium base. Oh, and its NOS! Most likely from the 1950s! I got very lucky with this find!

Shocked Shocked Shocked MINE! Looks newer than mine Razz Very nice find Niall!

Here's a pic of one still in use, in remote ballasted MV.

Thanks! I think it may be newer, but the fact it has sat in a box probably helped it look this way. I've got quite a few pictures of these too, but I never actually though they were Powerlites! Very Happy

Wow! Shocked Where's you get this from?! Very Happy

Thanks! I got it from a seller on Kijiji, I learnt about it more than a month ago (the same time as the 115) but since it was in Niagara Falls I had to wait until March break (this week) to go get it. We made it into a day trip and I've got a few more pictures I'll be posting tonight!

Nice! Cool I'm not sure if those are the same subways cars, but they are the same model at the streetcar museum!

Cool, I see that you guys have a pair of M1 cars too, I wonder if they'll save a H series car...I'm going to miss those eyebrow ends that they have.

Yep, I somehow don't think we are getting any though, mostly due to lack of storage space. I know we will be getting some of the current CLRV streetcars when they begin to be retired.

Wow, that's pretty!

New old stock? Wow, I have never seen New old stock of this age. No ballast or anything for this? What lamp type would this have had? Especially with medium base...
gailgrove   [Mar 13, 2012 at 03:24 PM]
Yep NOS, this is the exact definition of NOS as well. I was amazed to find this in this condition since I'm sure it was made in the 50s. I think these could use either small incandescents or small remote ballasted mercs.
