That will look nice, however what I know, which I told Brian (The Hawk) yesterday in person (he was thinking the same idea with his own NEMA he got and a lot of other members have) is that clear mercs can yellow plastic refractors faster because there is no coating that absorbs the UV....the UV will go straight to the refractor, yellowing it. This one here is a closed bottom bucket.

I guess this applies to HPS and MH lamps too? I've some HPS wallpacks with yellowed lenses.

Actually the borosillicate glass of the outer bulb blocks a good part of the UV. But the clear bulbs do emit more UVs than coated ones.
