Sweet! The Crouse-Hinds Lights aren't very common here. Looks like these are either 250 or 400W HPS.

They are 400W MH.

Oops. I didn't look closely enough at the lamp. Embarrassed Yeah those are definetly MH. Odds are these were converted. In the 1970s, MH was made, but it wasn't common and HPS was a much cheaper alternative at the time. Did these have wattage tags on them? If not then these may have been made by westinghouse before Cooper/Crouse-Hinds bought them out.

@Michael, Crouse Hinds bought Westinghouse's fixture division in September 1982.

Ahh. Sorry about that. Embarrassed I corrected it... Smile When did the OVM/OVS/OVC line roll out? I thought by 1982 those three were already in production.

there is a chance those actually have original MV ballast and using the ballast to power up the MH lamp.

Yeah that's possible too. It seems the L-250 was more common in MV than the L-150. I like the L-150 in HPS since it was one of the first designs geared towards HPS.
