Damaged insulation
This was where I used to work. I stripped the cable sheathing and noticed the neutral insulation has been previously damaged, oops! I guess it was the last couple of foot from a reel xD.

Another thing, see the keyless socket underneath? Well it comes from a worklight a drywaller from the place asked me to repair. The cable partly hides it, but since it's cheapo, the aluminium screw broke off of one rivet inside. That rivet also connects the screw to the neutral terminals, so the lamp started arcing and flickering. Then it simply went out, but wiggling the lamp produced blue sparks inside the socket and lit the lamp a little xD

Hmm. Seems to be like it'd be better to replace the keyless holder. Razz Laughing I'm surprised that my house has porcelain keyless sockets seeing that the plastic ones are cheaper. The electrician obviously cared enough to use quality products!! Very Happy I see you got a cut before the pic too?

Yeah that's a cut LOL. I was screwing a box to a metal stud when it happened. I wasn't applying perfectly straight pressure on the screw with my drill so the drill bit almost jumped out of the screw. The drill fell and my hand followed xD
