100 Stay-Lit Mini Lights
A set of 100 clear Stay-Lit lights.

Looks like a normal string of holiday lights, but what makes these special is they have an electronic shunt-device in each socket...so you can remove bulbs from their sockets and the rest of the set will stay lighted.
Takes care of the old "one light goes out they all go out" issue with mini lights :D cost is probably 3x that of normal lights (but is well worth it for hard to reach areas ... esp when bought on clearance)

Ahh cool set! I service the mini lights at my house lol. The thing that frustrates me is that you can't tell what voltage a mini lamp is so when you put a replacement lamp in, it might blow out soon. Happens to me frequently. When a whole set goes out we usually junk it and i keep the lamp to use as spares as long as the color isn't faded on them. The blues seem to fade the worst. I like the colorful christmas lights so much more than the clear ones since they're more interesting to look at.

Yep blue & purple always fade the fastest
For the most part I just use clear mini's anymore .. and if I want color, LEDs Smile

I keep my spare bulbs in trays - one try for each voltage, then the trays have dividers that I use for sorting colors...

ahh i just have once ziploc bag full of them lol. How is it possible to tell the diference between voltages? Neutral

Without testing, I really don't see a way to tell - except for the 12v ones which have a longer vertical filament

One nice thing I've found with these Stay-Lit sets is they make good 'testers' you can put in a wrong-voltage bulb and it won't blow - the shunt-thingie in the sockets also regulates voltage, so a 12v bulb is real dim since its only getting 2.5v (where in a normal set it would blow instantly)

In addition to my sorted bulbs I've got a unstoted 10-gallon fishtank thats probably 3/4 full of those little packs of spare bulbs Shocked

wow you have a lot of those lamps. Shocked Were there fish in that tank at once? Razz Laughing

I also have hundreds of sets of lights Shocked Laughing Shocked

Yep actually before there were fish in the tank before it became a 'bulb tank' Smile (have multiple empty tanks sitting around..multiple ended up with 'junk' stored in them LOL)

I think i can safely say we own about a dozen sets, mostly 200-lamp sets.

I have a little paper bag full of those things, but I'm rapidly accumulating lighting "junk" in my room...

You know how sometimes you see that one house thats all strung up with lights for the Holidays?
At one time I used to do that too LOL
Even use an old Win 3.11 PC to flash/control them (all home-built hardware/software too)
