This is a DTL photocontrol that i ordered from a electrical distributor. According to the specification sheet on DTL's website, this is supposed to be the best photocontrol they make. It has the most commonly ordered features specified by electrical utilities, and is built with more premium components. It has a brown cover for identification.

Hmm. What do they use differently that makes these the cream of the crop?

Actually thats only what the specifications say. I opened this up and it looks EXACTLY like other DTL photocontrols I have bought before. I once compared the insides of a DP series control i had that was supposed to have a 320 joule MOV surge protection, next to a DX series control that was supposed to have a 160 joule surge protection, and the MOV's were exactly the same size, shape, and color. unlike other brands like Sun-Tech. Where they are a different size. But im not gonna complain. I get these DTL's a lot cheaper than any other brand I have ordered before.
