Cooper OVX open.
That is an odd looking MH lamp in there! Doesn't look normal...

But this is the insides of a 250 watt MH cooper OVX. The door was busted on the ground and the glass refractor was shattered in pieces on the ground too.

I took some pieces of the door.

Here is the odd shaped bulb that Jace has in his collection Very Happy

That is what General Electric uses in their standard Multi-Vapor line for their 175 and 250 watt lamps in both clear and coated. They still use the orthodox ED-28 shape for their pulse start and compact 400 watt lamps, though.

not normal eh? Seems normal enough to me since I have 18 comments on this picture and none of them was your comment.....

I suggest you look at pics of lightbulbs too...don't restrict yourself to only examining streetlights...You won't learn as much if you only look at streetlights and not bulbs......I actually wish there was also MORE lightbulb uploads too!!! We just don't have enough bulb uploads these days...chasing some members away..... Confused Confused Confused

I need to upload some of my new Lamps. Since I have been finding them nonstop lately. Plus one of my 250 watters is a cycler I think... From the Tudor.

And you need to comment my weird shape MH lamp since you are often nagging me to comment your pics, but yet you don't comment mine Rolling Eyes

The inside on this is set-up similar to mine, minus the ignitor.

Are most Cooper ballasts the same size? cause this ballast looks the same size as my 250 watt HPS one, and lots of other ballasts I have. I guess it's a standard size.

I wonder why GE never used it.

This also looks a bit dirty.

I have one of these lamps now, I found it at the Re-Store. 250 watt like this one with the odd shaped envelope. It's currently lighting my room. Why did they do this with the lamps? It's odd, I'll get a picture of it soon.

It saves glass. Usually that's the reason for doing anything in a big coorporate business. Rolling Eyes Laughing
