Has a nice Plastic refractor. Probably would yellow after a while in service. xD

That's the older OVZ from what I see. I've seen OVZ plastic lens in service for many years and not yellow.

It has the small latch on it and the older hinges.

Yep this as an older one. Is this yours?
LilCinnamon   [Oct 21, 2011 at 08:44 PM]
Does this look like mine?

I meant if this was new to your collection. Rolling Eyes Confused

I know a lot of those OVZ (or back then OVC) in my area with ORIGINAL plastic Cooper refractors (just like above) and some has just a HINT of yellowing while others don't have any yellowing at all! They are very similar to the GE refractor.....They are acrylic....which is why they don't yellow fast...

I don't know think this is an OVC. Didn't the OVC have the metalic HPS tags? i know crouse-hinds never used the source name in the corner and they used metalic tags.... Perhaps this was one of the fist OVZ before it got its chubby facelift.
gailgrove   [Oct 22, 2011 at 01:31 AM]
Wasn't the OVC only sold in Canada? I though so and it was only unpainted.
streetlight98   [Oct 22, 2011 at 01:53 AM]
Nope. That light with the snake in it was a Crouse-hinds OVC. It was in the USA and it was painted. The OVC seems to have become the OVZ and the OVS seems to have become the OVX.......
